You reach Bermuda by air into the east end or by ship into the Dockyard at the west end. On the island you cannot drive a hire car, so the ferries, the buses and the tours do the moving. Most Bermuda tours from the cruise port meet you at the ship.
L.F. Wade International Airport is in St. George's Parish, at the island's east end. You clear US customs there on the way home, so you land in the US as if from a domestic flight. Your passport must be valid 45 days beyond your stay.
Most ships berth at King's Wharf or Heritage Wharf, at the Royal Naval Dockyard on the island's western tip. Hamilton and St. George's are the other two ports. In 2025 the Government of Bermuda expected 179 cruise calls.

At the Dockyard you walk off the ship onto the pier where most tours meet. The pink buses, the orange Titan shirts and the black-and-white star all stand on that pier. Each meeting point is pinned on the Bermuda map.
Visitors may not rent standard cars in Bermuda. The tourism authority says the rule protects the environment and limits traffic. You still have five ways to move:

Every ferry route runs from the Hamilton terminal at Albouy's Point, except the Orange, which links the Dockyard with St. George's. The ferries take no cash, so buy a token or a pass before you board.

Buses and ferries share one set of fares. A pass gives you unlimited rides on both, and children under 5 ride free. Routes 7 and 8 run between Hamilton and the Dockyard. On a bus you can pay cash; on a ferry you need a token or a pass.
Agree the fare before you set off, and keep a towel over the seat if you have come from the sea.

Hamilton is the easy one: the Blue ferry has you there in 20 minutes. St. George's is the far end, and outside May to October there is no direct ferry. For both ends on a ship day, a drive saves you the connections. The Titan highlights drive even puts you on the ferry back from Hamilton.
The island drives meet you at the ship and cover both ends before all-aboard.
If you stay in a hotel, the shops drive and the beach hop ask you to take the ferry from Hamilton to the Dockyard. The shops drive is not suggested if you stay east of Hamilton. The wider picture of a day without a tour is in the visitor guide.
The airport is Bermuda Skyport's, checked 21 September 2026; preclearance and the passport rule are the Government of Bermuda's. The ferry routes, the car rule and Hitch are the Bermuda Tourism Authority's. Fares and bus routes are the Government of Bermuda's, and the 2025 cruise calls its ministerial statement. Four hours by coach from the cruise pier: the lighthouse grounds, Horseshoe Bay, John Smith's Bay and St. George's, ending with free time in Hamilton. A ferry ticket back to the Dockyard is in the fare.
