That is the difference from an island drive, where you stop for ten or fifteen minutes and move on.
There are three shapes. The jungle, lunch and snorkel day is an outdoor day with lunch in the fare. The beach hop spends almost all of its hours on the sand. The cave days pair Crystal Cave with Horseshoe Bay and Hamilton, or with St. George's and Tobacco Bay. The shops, sights and shores drive spends over an hour in Hamilton.
Two hours on a beach gives you time for a proper swim, a rest in the shade and your lunch. On a drive, you get the same beach as a photo stop.
On the jungle day your lunch and an ice cream are in the fare. On the beach hop you get a chair with an umbrella, and Tricia B. also found a cooler with ice and pool noodles.
When your ship is in from morning to evening, a day tour fills your day without a single connection for you to plan.
Several day tours take you east, to St. George's, the caves and the beaches near Cooper's Island, far from the pier and hard for you to reach on your own.
